 The Sugar Bush Inn is still locally known as "Thurk's" by most folks in the New London area. That's because the well known establishment has been operated by members of the Thurk family for generations. It still is, as Mary Shaw and Ron Thurk work together to continue the reputation for a friendly family atmosphere and good food.
As the sign by the front door says, "Enter As Strangers, Leave As Friends."
